The \u2018Making Every Contact Count\u2019 MECC e-learning module can be accessed via ESR by searching: \u2018000 NHS Wales \u2013 Make Every Contact Count \u2013 English\/Welsh Version\u2019.<\/p>\n
The module helps professionals build health behaviour change conversations into their day-to-day work.<\/p>\n
Almost half the burden of disease in Wales is linked with smoking, drinking too much alcohol, poor diet, physical inactivity, and being overweight.<\/p>\n
MECC can support health professionals and those working in partner organisations to make the most of the conversations they have every day.<\/p>\n
After undertaking a short online training module, professionals will be able to offer brief, opportunistic health behaviour advice to encourage people to improve their health and wellbeing, if they wish to do so.<\/p>\n
