An exciting opportunity for you to support the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. You will be required to work across the Gwent wide area, vaccinating within any one of our community mass vaccination centers including mobile units. This is a unique role, critical to the fight back against COVID-19 within the Gwent area and will include administering a future vaccine to key workers, the elderly and vulnerable people and the residents of Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Newport and Caerphilly County Borough. It is our best defence against the virus alongside effective social distancing, wearing a mask and washing your hands.
We are looking for people who can start as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis. However, there may be opportunities for other roles at the end of this contract. Candidates will also need be able to work flexibly covering weekends, afternoon and evening shifts. In these crucial roles, you will work as part of a dynamic and motivated team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Current COVID-19 Vaccination Team opportunities include:
You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccination programme alongside the wider Mass Vaccination Team, supported by our registered immunisation staff in one of the community centers.
You will play a key role in supervising COVID-19 Immuniser staff and in the delivery of vaccinations within one of the community centers or mobile units.
Welcoming patients into the community vaccination centers, checking appointments and directing patients accordingly into and within the Mass Vaccination Centers.
This role provides clinical oversight and operational management to the clinical teams and are responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the Mass Vaccination Centers.
As part of the Pharmacy Team you will be responsible for ensuring the validity and quality of the vaccine across the whole Health Board.
We are looking for compassionate, problem solving administrative staff with skills at vocational level 3 with knowledge of administrative procedures. You will play an important role in supporting the administration of the clinics by verifying patient’s identity and confirming electronically their attendance at the clinic.

Employment on the Vaccination Programme involves working in community Mass Vaccination Centers or mobile teams which comprise a mix of registered professional healthcare workers and newly recruited and trained support workers. The role in which you can apply is dependent on your previous work history and skills.

This meet and greet role is essential in welcoming patients into the clinic. This important team takes patients’ temperature, checks in the patient and directs them into the flow of our clinics.
This key role will ensure safe and steady flow of traffic to and from the Mass Vaccination Centers. Being the first point of contact to the patients, this role with liaise with front of house and patients to manage time delays by ensuring patient safety and by time managing the flow into the clinic.
This role provides day-to-day supervision and leadership to all of the administrative and voluntary workforce within clinics every day.
Once you are recruited and completed all relevant training, with the relevant compliance and checks completed, you will be responsible for performing and/or supervising the following:

Currently start dates are not confirmed, however we will communicate with you throughout the application process to ensure you are ready to start work as soon as the Programme requires you.
These roles will be offered on a flexible basis at one of our Mass Vaccination Centers. You may also be asked to work in our hospitals or a community setting.
