We’re absolutely delighted to recognise Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for their unwavering commitment to building a workplace where blind and partially sighted people are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
As part of their journey to achieving the standard, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has introduced impressive in-person sight loss awareness training, available to all staff involved in supporting patients with sight loss – ensuring inclusive, empathetic care rooted in understanding.
It was especially inspiring to receive a first-hand account from an employee with sight loss, sharing their journey from gaining employment, to being supported, encouraged, and progressing in their career. This lived experience powerfully demonstrated the Visibly Better Employer quality standard in action. Thank you David sharing your journey with us!
